DISHCLOTH MACHINE KNITTED

Yarn: 16/2 Cotton knit 3 strands Tension 7 on any standard knitting
machine.


16/2 Cotton knit 2 strands on the Passap or machine with ribber
tension 4/4 or whichever works best.
16/2 Cotton with 1 strand of cotton flake.
8/2 Cotton Knit 1 strand Passap or ribber; or 2 strands on the
standard machine tension 8-.
6/2 Cotton 1 strand tension 7.



BASIC DISHCLOTH
Cast on 60 stitches. Hang weights on comb. Knit 1 row.
Set up for tuck stitch, see manual for your machine.
Knit *178 rows.
Bind Off.
Wash and dry, check measurements.
To make dishcloth longer add approximately 11 rows per inch; and to
make wider add 8 stitches per inch.



DISHCLOTH WITH BORDER
Same as above to *Knit only 20 rows of tuck stitch.
Set up machine to do a slipstitch using the same pattern for the border.
Knit 12 rows of slip.
Set machine back to tuck and knit 130 rows of tuck stitch (body of the
dishcloth).
Set machine up for slip stitch and knit for 12 rows (Border).
Set machine to tuck and knit tuck stitch for 20 rows and bind off
loosely with a back stitch bind off.
